Download and install the Nikon Webcam Utility. Connect your Nikon camera to your computer using the USB cable that was included with your camera. If you’re using an external mic such as the Nikon ME-1, etc., plug it into the computer’s mic port. Smoother collaboration with NIKON IMAGE SPACE, Nikon's image storage and sharing service, has also been achieved. This is the full version of ViewNX 2.10.3 for Windows and Mac computers. If you are currently using ViewNX 2 this download will uninstall your existing version and then install version 2.10.3.

The system requirements for operating ViewNX-i are as follows:

Windows

Windows 10 Home / Windows 10 Pro / Windows 10 Enterprise
  • This application requires a computer with a pre-installed operating system.
  • If you install the 64-bit version of ViewNX-i on a computer running the 64-bit version of Windows 10, or the 64-bit version of Windows 8.1, ViewNX-i and ViewNX-Movie Editor run in 64-bit mode.
  • If your computer is running Windows 8.1 or later, use it in desktop mode.
  • The 64-bit version of Windows is required when handling 4K movies captured using a Nikon digital camera.
  • Display and editing of still images:
  • Intel Pentium Dual-Core 2.4GHz / Core i Series, 1.6GHz or above
  • Playback and editing of movies:
  • Intel Core i5 or above (during playback)
  • Intel Core i7 or above (during editing)
  • When plying back movies at 1280 x 720 pixels or more and 30fps or more, or when playing back movies at 1920 x 1080 or more:
  • Intel Core i7 or above is recommended.
  • Playback and editing of 4K movies captured using a Nikon digital camera:
  • Intel Core i7 3.5GHz equivalent or above is required.
32-bit Windows 10, or Windows 8.1: 4 GB is required.
64-bit Windows 10, or Windows 8.1: 4 GB or above is required.
  • At least 8 GB is required with 64-bit Windows when handling 4K movies captured using a Nikon digital camera (16 GB or above is recommended).
Free space of 1 GB or above on the OS startup disk unit during installation and operation of software (3 GB or above recommended)
Video memory: 2 GB or above is required.
  • A video card that supports 4K resolution is required in order to play back 4K movies captured using a Nikon digital camera on a 4K monitor.
Resolution: 1366 x 768 pixels or more (1920 x 1080 pixels or more is recommended)
USB: Only built-in USB ports supported.
Connect the camera directly to the computer; do not use a hub or USB keyboard.
USB: Nikon digital cameras that support MTP/PTP, PTP, or Mass Storage.
  • JPEG-format images (Exif 2.2 to 2.3 compliant)
  • RAW (NEF, NRW), MPO (3D format), and TIFF format images, movies, sounds, image dust-off data, location log data, altitude (barometer) log data, and depth log data shot/created with Nikon digital cameras.
  • RAW (NEF, NRW), TIFF (RGB) and JPEG (RGB) format images and MOV, MP4, and AVI format movies saved with Nikon applications.
An Internet connection is required in order to use all of the functions.
Note on displaying MPO format images recorded in 3D
A viewer that supports 3D images is required in order to view MPO format images recorded in 3D.
Altitude (barometer) and depth log data are calculated based on atmospheric pressure, and they differ from the altitude (satellite navigation system) data measured by satellite navigation systems. Priority is given to the altitude (satellite navigation system) data when both types of altitude data are available.

Tested web conferencing apps
  • Web version: Microsoft Teams, Skype, Zoom, Google Meet, and Facebook Messenger. Safari is not supported; use Chrome.
  • App: Microsoft Teams, Zoom, and Facebook Messenger. Not compatible with applications that lack support for virtual cameras.
Notes
  • • Select P, S, A, or M mode when using the D7500 or D5600.
  • • Camera microphones are not supported. Use an external microphone or the microphone supplied with your computer.
  • • If live view ends prematurely, choose higher values for Monitor off delay > Live view in the camera menus.
  • • The live view display for the D5600 is small.
  • • The camera temperature may rise and live view may end after periods of extended use. Wait for the camera to cool.
  • • Using live view increases the drain on the battery.
  • • Exit Nikon Transfer 2 and Camera Control Pro 2 before connecting to the camera.
  • • Do not attempt to use Webcam Utility from multiple web conferencing apps simultaneously.
  • • When using Nikon Transfer 2 or Camera Control Pro 2, end the connection to “Webcam Utility” in the web conferencing app.
  • • You may not be able to adjust camera settings while the camera is connected to a computer. Before adjusting settings, turn the camera off and disconnect the USB cable.
